Your sicca plus patients—those with sicca symptoms plus involvement of 1 or more organs or systems—may be candidates for biologic therapy. Sicca plus, a framework to identify patients with Sjögren’s disease who may benefit from a biologic therapy. Sicca includes dry eyes, dry mouth, and other dryness areas. Plus, organ or system involvement (at least 1 sign) including swollen glands, lymphadenopathy, cutaneous involvement, inflammatory joint pain/stiffness, or other organ/system involvement. These are signs that it may be time for biologic therapy.
